Under ASME section IV part HLW rules, an ASME-compliant tank is not required when the total system volume does not exceed 120 gallons, or when the total heating capacity does not exceed 200,000 BTUH.
Our stainless steel tank provides high volume and resistance to erosion without any lining to fail.
When properly selected and installed, these tanks can provide 80% draw without appreciable temperature decrease in a single-temperature application.
Features:
150 PSIG maximum working pressure
No anodes required
No lining required
R18 Insulation
2 NPT connections for heater piping and tank outlet
Side ports for T&P valve, tankstat, thermometer, and drain valve
Indoor/outdoor installation
Storage tanks are required in conjunction with WH water heaters.
The heater provides rapid heating of a small volume of water; the tank provides a storage medium with enough capacity to handle short-term loads.
This separation of functions provides extremely fast, flexible recovery.
Low-mass high-recovery boilers such as Raypak's require access to a certain minimum water volume in order to avoid a sharp rise in temperature.
If the system water volume is under this limit, a buffer tank to add the missing volume can be a simple solution.
Horizontal, available in 24-, 40- and 60-gallon sizes. Air control valve included.
An optional kit is available to mount these tanks over one end of a Hi Delta unit. These kits are available for Hi Delta sizes 302B-2342B only.
Closed-loop hydronic systems remain constantly full and under pressure, yet must be able to safely support the expansion of water as it heats.
These expansion tanks connect off the main piping to provide that function without reducing system pressure.

The Raypak indirect water heater uses heat from a boiler to heat domestic water.
The heat is transferred to the water by a coil heat exchanger inside of the tank.
The indirect storage tank stores the energy from the boiler for use later. With the excellent thermal insulation in the Raypak water heater, the boiler turns on and off less often.
To maintain energy efficiency the stainless steel tank is fully insulated with 2 inches of rigid foam. The Raypak indirect water heater is an efficient means of heating water.
This indirect water heater has all stainless steel construction.
The stainless steel tank is fully welded, pickled and passivated. The stainless steel resists corrosion assuring a long service life.
